Shelf Life and Replacement

• Replace the respirator when it becomes dirty, damaged, or difficult to breathe through from particle accumulation.

Fit Test

• A fit test must be performed to ensure that the respirator does not have any air leaks, which can lead to the wearer's inhalation of unwanted particles and/or aerosols.

**Respirator shown in the picture above is NOT the TW08S, but the TW02S. Still, the same fit check method applies to the TW08S. Step 1: Place your palms over the particulate filter or gas cartridge of the respirator Step 2: Check if there are any leakages with your mask. When you inhale, you should feel a suction pulling the respirator to your face. Step 3: Adjust the respirator if leakages persist. Pull the slider back to your face to turn off the fit checker. It is advisable to do a fit test before wearing the TW08S and entering your workplace to ensure that you are maximizing the protection your reusable respirator has to offer, and that you are mostly safe from your respiratory workplace hazards. A good fit means the respirator will seal your skin and close any passages where air can pass through. A respirator is only mostly effective when inhaled air passes through the filter. Since air takes the path of least resistance, a loosely or poorly fit respirator with air leakages will have air pass through these air leakages instead of the filter, which increases your risk of inhaling respiratory hazards you are exposed to.
